Bahía Marina Condo Resort in Culebra, P.R.
proudly presents its new Executive Chef, Arturo Paz

Arturo Paz prides himself on being a creative culinary voice in the ever changing world of haute cuisine.

By way of Miami Beach, New York and Los Angeles, Paz brings his magic to the paradise island of Culebra, Puerto Rico, as Executive Chef of Bahia Marina Resort three restaurants; Dakity, Shipwreck and Cayo.

With a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts from the prestigious Johnson and Whales University in Providence R.I., Arturo continues his quest to find and master the most cutting edge culinary techniques. Moving onward and upward he spend time in New York City as head chef of the Mango Tree Café in the Village, as Executive Chef of the ultra trendy Baleen in Miami Beach Grove Isle and most recently as Corporate Chef of Republic Restaurant and Lounge, the most recent creation of restaurateur Mikayel Israyelyan in L.A.

Back to his roots in Puerto Rico and more significantly to Culebra, where he vacationed with his family many times as a youngster, Arturo Paz finds a niche in which to orchestrate his talent. Directing three different restaurants at Bahia Marina Resort, all with different ambiance and menus, Arturo looks to tune his expertise in harmony with the fresh local sea food and produce in order to deliver Bahia Marina guests a concert of flavors in haute Caribbean cuisine.

Paz cuisine has been featured in the Ocean Drive Magazine, the San Juan Star and The Miami Herald. He has written a book, “Cool Concoctions” and has hosted a TV show “Casa Club TV” (part of MGM Latino). When not in the kitchen he enjoys fishing, scuba diving and surfing.
